The Blackberry Bold 9780 features the new Blackberry 6 operating system which allows you to switch faster between open applications as part of the multi-tasking capabilities offered by the handset. The phone has a 5 megapixel camera for video recording and internal GPS for maps and local points of interest

The phone has 512 megabytes of onboard memory and a 2 gigabyte media card included which is expandable with the support for microSD cards offered. The compact handset features a large display with 480 by 360 resolution and a full QWERTY keyboard for easy and fast text input, while the optical trackpad in the centre offers seamless scrolling and navigation similar to that of a laptop computer mouse. Connectivity includes Bluetooth 2.1 with profile support, including stereo wireless audio for headsets, (A2DP and AVCRP respectively), Serial port profile and Phone book access profile (PBAP). Meanwhile, the Wi-Fi connectivity offers fast access to the internet and includes both RIM wireless modem and tethered modem capability.

The Bold 9780 features a 5 megapixel camera with up to 2 times digital zoom and video recording with the aid of a flash for poor lighting conditions also, it is possible to take great photos and videos and then view them back on the handset, or instantly share them with friends through the integrated social networking applications, multimedia messaging or any of the 10 email accounts which can be potentially integrated. The Phone has the latest Blackberry 6 operating system featuring an intuitive interface which provides fast access to the applications you use most. The full HTML web browser offered also now includes tabs, as well as you being able to get updates form social networks and RSS in one place. It also features a universal search.

BlackBerry Maps

The handset also has integrated GPS which provides Blackberry Maps (preloaded) for route planning and turn-by-turn directions, along with the ability to quickly and easily pinpoint your location.
