De Samsung S3030 Eco is naar eigen zeggen de ‘groenste’ mobiele telefoon van Nederland. Het toestel is gemaakt van onder andere Bio-Plastic en is vrij van PVC en BFR. In het productieproces zijn geen schadelijke chemicaliën gebruikt en zelfs het aantal CO2 emissies bij productie is gereduceerd.

Samsung Blue Earth
Met de Samsung Blue Earth speelt Samsung in op de groeiende zorgen over het milieu. Het toestel, de oplader en de verpakking zijn gemaakt van gerecycled materiaal. Naast een accu is de Blue Earth ook voorzien van zonnecellen, die genoeg stroom leveren om een gesprek te voeren. Dankzij de eco-mode gebruikt de Blue Earth ook nog eens bijzonder weinig energie.

Waste Guide for iPhone
Waste Guide for iPhone from Milieu Centraal is available in the Apple Appstore from this week on. The program provides answers to questions like: "Where do I trow away the box of takeaway pizza? In the recycling bin, or in the trash?" And: "Can a tea glass be put in the container or not?" Owners of an iPhone or iPod touch can download the application for free on iTunes.

Apple green and Greenpeace apps
Greenpeace puts Apple on top of the list of green companies that make consumer electronics. The company gets four green stars. The list of this companies was released earlier in the year, but still fits well into our category 'Green Mobile'. The list includes 18 companies selected by Greenpeace, whit Apple beating all others. Samsung and Nokia are also doing well in terms of telephony. We also present 2 nice free applications to support Greenpeace.

De Sony Ericsson C901 GreenHeart is een van de nieuwe toestellen met Greenheart label. Dit houdt in dat deze GSM ecologisch verantwoord is. Zo is deze GSM voor een groot deel vervaardigt uit gerecycled materiaal. Daarnaast wordt deze mobiele telefoon geleverd in een kleine verpakking waardoor er papier wordt bespaard.
